I’m Captain Mike — a seamanship instructor who teaches through clear thinking real conditions, and calm presence.
My approach is grounded in patience, respect, and an awareness of the environment we move through.

I’ve trained hundreds of students and sailed in Greece, Italy, Thailand, the Bahamas, BVI, USVI, Mexico, San Francisco, and Canada.
Beautiful BC is where I feel most connected to the water and where I teach each summer.

My role is simple: support you at every step, help you understand the boat and the environment, and build your confidence through clarity — not pressure.
